Jordan Nassar

United States of America (b.1985)

Jordan Nassar’s work is based on Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery, known as ‘’tatreez” which are commonly stitched together into clothing or other items. Nassar creates these patterns in the form of landscapes. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Middlebury College in 2007. 

His work has been exhibited worldwide in both solo and group exhibitions most notably at the Whitney Museum of American art, Princeton University Art Museum, The Third Line, Dubai among various others. 

His work is included in the collections of  the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art, Rollins Museum of Art, Florida; The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, California; The Museum of Contemporary Art, California; and Rhode Island School of Design Museum, in Rhode Island, among others.
