Nasser Hussein

Syria (b.1971)

Nasser Hussein received his degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University and furthered his studies at Siegen University, Dusseldorf Academy of art and received a scholarship from Katholischer Akademischer Auslander-Dienst. His work centres around  themes of loneliness, and isolation, depicting a solitary human experience, often painting only one central character, with sombre emotion. 

Hussein has held solo and group exhibitions internationally at Art-Lab, Berlin, Museum of Bad Berleburg, Germany, Meem Gallery, Dubai, Mashrabia Gallery, Cairo among various other venues. He has also participated in the Cairo, and Latakia Biennales.
