Pablo Siquier gained prominence for his works in the 1980s, his works during this period juxtaposed the figurative and the abstract, demonstrating the interplay between figure and ground, in vibrant colours. His work today exhibits a muted palette, focusing solely on geometric forms inspired by architectural motifs.
Through his drawings and installations, he explores the illusion and actual perception of space. Employing computer-generated drawings transferred onto enormous printed surfaces, these installations blur the boundaries between painting and the real world.
His work is features in the Blanton Museum of Art, Austin, Texas, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Rosario (MACRO), Argentina, Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA), Argentina, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Argentina, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, España and Zabludowicz Collection London.
