Emna Masmoudi lives and works between Paris and Tunis. She has been awarded First Prize in painting in 2004 by the Tunisian Ministry of Culture. She graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1989 before she obtained her Masters degree in Visual Arts from the University of Paris VIII in 1993. She was the recipient of an annual grant from the Tunisian Ministry of Culture and she also completed a one year art residency at the Cite Internationale des Arts of Paris in 1998. Since 1990, Emna began exhibiting in Tunisian galleries such as Driba gallery and Ammar Farhat gallery before being represented by Elmarsa Gallery since 1997. She has shown her work in France since 1996 and abroad at the International Biennial of Sharjah and in Ten Years Young Tunisian Painting organized by the Ministry of Culture in Tunisia and France, as well as in Switzerland, Italy, USA, UK and Ireland.
