Bibi Zogbé

With an oeuvre devoted to the beauty of nature, specifically flowers, Bibi Zogbé gained recognition for her vivid depictions of the flowers of her hometown of Lebanon. Zogbé moved to Argentina aged 16, and held numerous exhibitions in Paris, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and Uruguay among other cities. She lived in Paris and Dakar until her eventual return to Lebanon in 1947, where she gained acclaim as an artist, often referred to as ‘the painter of flowers’.
