● Artist

Seher Shah

Seher Shah’s multidisciplinary practice spans drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and writing, delving into the poetic ways we interpret the landscapes that surround us. Her work navigates the intersections of history, intimacy, architecture, politics, and personal experience, exploring spatial abstraction through themes of absence, fragility, and fragmentation. By examining architectural perspective drawing traditions, the fractured histories of objects, and their eventual erasure, Shah’s art captures the enduring imprints of time across both real and imagined spaces. Utilizing diverse mediums such as graphite, ink, charcoal, dust, cast concrete, and iron, she emphasizes the tactile intimacy of mark-making, paying close attention to the materiality and weight of surfaces.
