She furthered her studies at the Académie libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA), and moved to New York, and Libya throughout her lifetime. Upon her return to Beirut, she taught painting at the American University of Beirut, and began publishing her writings including art reviews in magazines. During this time, she also established Beirut’s first art gallery ‘Gallery One’ with her husband Yusuf Al Khal in 1963 in which she exhibited the works of then rising artists Alfred Basous, Yvette Achkar and Assadour among others.
